The latest announcement regarding students' leave for epidemic prevention

I. Directions of vaccination leave:

1. Note: Students who feel unwell after being vaccinated can apply for vaccination leave. If you still feel unwell after the vaccination leave limit is exceeded, apply for sick leave according to the NTU student leave rules.

2. Number of days off: up to three days (including the day of vaccination).

3. Required supporting documents: COVID-19 vaccination record card.

4. Vaccination leave is not included in the record of absenteeism.

II. Directions of epidemic sick leave:

1. Note: According to the suggestion from the Ministry of Education, students who test positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms or are asymptomatic during screening should not enter the school for classes. If you are unable to attend classes in person or online as a result, submit a picture of positive rapid test result as proof and apply for "epidemic sick leave" of this period (If you can attend class online, you don't have to apply). The leave is valid from the positive day of rapid screening (day 0) to the 5th day. Those who remain positive and have symptoms after the 6th day should seek medical treatment and obtain a diagnostic certificate. By doing so, you are allowed to continue applying epidemic sick leave until test negative on rapid test or 10 days passed since the onset of symptoms / the first time of positive rapid test.

2. Number of days off: up to six days each time.

3. Required supporting documents:

a. The picture of positive rapid test result as proof (It should contain information such as test cassette, full name as well as student ID number, and remember to indicate the date of the rapid test).
b. Medical certificate (Those who still test positive and are symptomatic after the 6th day need to attach this in addition to the picture of the positive rapid test result).

4. Epidemic sick leave is not included in the record of absenteeism, nor will it affect the academic performance evaluation.

III. Directions of epidemic quarantine leave:

1. Note: Students who test positive for COVID-19 during screening and exhibit moderate or severe symptoms may apply for " epidemic quarantine leave " with the “isolation care notice”.

2. Number of days off: According to the number of days stated in the “isolation care notice”.

3. Required supporting documents: The “isolation care notice” issued by government agency.

4. Epidemic quarantine leave is not included in the record of absenteeism, nor will it affect the academic performance evaluation.
